Able Magazine have been associated with the National Diversity Awards for several years and have announced a new partnership for 2019 when they will again, be the official disability media partner.

Although the National Diversity Awards culminate in their glitzy annual awards ceremony in September, the countdown is already on. The judges will be looking through thousands of nominations relating to achievements in diversity, including: age, race, gender, religion, sexual identity and disability.

The ceremony will include two specific disability awards, for disability role model and disability community organisation. Able Magazine has extended previous partnerships by following the nominations process, right up until awards night, when the Able Magazine editor, will present one of the awards personally.

Editor of Able Magazine, Tom Jamison commented: “We’re thrilled to have again been selected as the official disability media partner for the 2019 National Diversity Awards. Every year, the awards bring to light incredible and often moving stories of real disability champions. It’s been a pleasure to have watched the NDAs grow into a major landmark on the diversity calendar and it’s a privilege to continue our involvement with them.”

Founder of the National Diversity Awards, Paul Sesay was equally enthusiastic, saying: “The National Diversity Awards are once again proud to partner with Able Magazine for 2019. As the UK’s flagship disability publication, Able Magazine is the perfect platform to highlight positive success stories from across the nation, which would often be left untold. We look forward to working together closely and celebrating the achievements of individuals and communities who work tirelessly to create a more inclusive society”.
