The popular events for the care home sector, Care Roadshows, which have been running throughout the UK since 2011, have added a new location to the line-up this summer with a debut at Birmingham’s Villa Park stadium on 7th July.

Hundreds of care professionals have already been enjoying recent Care Roadshow exhibitions this year.  Having started in Glasgow in April, the events for all those working within the care sector also welcomed visitors in Leeds and Liverpool this May and June.  Attendees commented on the “excellent networking” opportunities at the events, along with managing to pick up “lots of relevant information” and taking part in “very informative seminars”.

The Birmingham show will host over 30 exhibitors covering a wide variety of products and services from hygiene and infection control to training, care management systems and pharmacy services.  Industry professionals will be on hand to talk face to face with visitors and discuss how they can help their individual care settings develop and improve the quality of service they provide.

Throughout the day, educational seminars will take place from sector leaders including the National Care Association’s Chief Executive Sheila Scott, CQC Inspection Manager Barbara Skinner and Suzanne Croy from the Dementia Services Development Centre.  Topics will cover understanding dementia behaviour, sensory loss, CQC inspections and more.  There will also be the chance for visitors to take part in interactive singing, movement and reminiscence workshops from Kiddleydivey. These fun sessions have been developed to give attendees some ideas for activities to encourage socialisation, movement and reminiscence with residents.

Care Roadshows will also be coming to Cardiff in October and London in November.  For more information about each of the events and to register for your free tickets, please visit www.careroadshows.co.uk or call 01425 838393.
