Texthelp is a leading literacy/dyslexic support software system for NHS partners/patients. Damien Bridgman, has become a strong advocate for assistive technology, which has allowed him to overcome his communication barriers that he experiences because of cerebral palsy and severe dyslexia.
Between his Cerebral Palsy and severe dyslexia, Damian was largely written off in school and his parents were told the best they could do for him would be to find a good day-care centre. Damian proved them all wrong by going to university, getting a good degree and is now a key advisor to the Welsh Government – in Damian’s words this has only been possible because of assistive technology which has been by his side like a PA.
