Enjoy a day out at The Deep, Hull’s award winning aquarium home to over 3,500 fish, including green sawfish, sharks, rays and Gentoo penguins. Journey through the creation of the Earth and the world’s oceans travelling through a unique blend of spectacular marine life from warm tropical waters to the cold Antarctic seas.
On various dates throughout the year organised “quiet days” are held in the attraction. On these dates the audio system is turned down, the lighting is increased and BSL signed presentations are held. Our next quiet days will be on 5th November 2015 and 7th January 2016.
Don’t miss our fantastic daily dive shows at 2pm or our Endless Wonders presentation where you can learn more about the beautiful creatures that call The Deep home. We have some fantastic activities in the tropical Lagoon of Light including scatter feed snack time, under the surface presentations and Dylan’s Discovery Corner sessions where you can learn about some of the smaller native species to the UK including starfish, velvet swimmer crabs and sea urchins.
Finally take a walk through our magnificent viewing tunnel to gaze at these awesome species swimming all around you before a ride in the breath taking glass lift through the 10m deep tank. Keep your eyes peeled for a sneak peek behind the scenes!
Essential carers are admitted free of charge on a one to one basis. In some cases The Deep may ask for proof of disability and the nature of the essential care needed if this is not obvious.
Two Rivers Restaurant
Why not try Two Rivers Restaurant, one of the most unique restaurants Hull has to offer, located in the heart of The Deep aquarium. Enjoy an evening with friends or family, for a romantic meal or to celebrate a special occasion.
Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm. Dine with the sharks and experience spectacular views all around you whilst you enjoy a contemporary menu with locally sourced produce.
Deep Blue Thursdays offers diners a a gastro pub style menu costing £19.95 for three courses or why not try a more contemporary menu on Friday and Saturday evenings, three courses for £25.95 all prepared with locally sourced produce.
Both the Two Rivers and Deep Blue Thursdays menus are updated every three months to make the most of seasonal ingredients and ensuring there is always something new to enjoy. Two Rivers offers vegetarian, dairy free and gluten free options, ensuring all diners can enjoy a fantastic meal out.
