Care professionals from across Scotland have been registering for their free tickets to the specialist trade show, Care Roadshow Glasgow, taking place at Hampden Park Stadium on the 19th April.

The event will host a fantastic mix of suppliers covering a wide range of products and services for all areas for the care sector. Exhibitors including Advanced Health & Care, Boots, Citation and Stannah will be on hand to offer advice and information on how they can help care settings flourish. Also, headline sponsors Quality Compliance Systems will be at the show offering advice on how they can help deliver great care while easily meeting compliance and quality assurance standards.

The seminar and workshop programme for the event has been fixed and offers four informative seminars from industry leaders and two interactive hands-on workshops from Oomph! Wellness that offer ideas to keep residents active and moving.

Scottish Care Chief Executive Donald Macaskill will be speaking at the show with his session ‘Rights in Care’ which will look at human rights issues that effect care providers. Ed Watkins from Quality Compliance Systems will be looking at how the National Care Standards review is likely to change inspection methodology in Scotland this year in his seminar ‘The Outstanding Journey’.

For those looking to learn more about understanding distressed behaviour in people with Dementia, Wendy Perry from the Dementia Service Development Centre’s seminar will address how carers can begin to understand distressed behaviour which will bring about a better understanding of and ability to respond to the needs of the individual.

Also at the Glasgow event, Rami Okasha, Director of Strategic Development at Care Inspectorate will be speaking about the new National Care Standards and how they can help support high quality care provision.
