Jeremy Clarkson’s ‘Special Needs’ Joke Angers Viewers

Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson is in hot water again, after comparing two models of Ferrari and describing the older version as a ‘simpleton’ that should be called the ‘430 Speciale needs’, instead of it’s real name ‘430 Speciale’.
His comments on Sunday’s edition of popular show Top Gear angered disability charities and carers. Suzi Browne at the National Autistic Society said it was derogatory.
“To use such terms such as special needs in a derogatory or flippant manner only perpetuates the prejudice and bullying which people with disabilities have to cope with,” she told the Daily Mirror.
