CONQUEST 1200: OPENS NEW AVENUES, FULFILLS PASSIONS

The Conquest 1200 is an innovative vehicle that evokes the sensation and thrill of a motorcycle while providing wheelchair users with independence, reliability and an unrivalled level of performance. Powered by a BMW R 1200 R, this vehicles performance allows the user to rediscover the adrenaline surge of speed and the freedom of the open road.
Manufactured and distributed in the UK by Hyde-based firm, Martin Conquest Ltd, the
Conquest utilises the power and potency of the BMW engine, benefiting from a prop shaft-driven, direct rear wheel drive system, incorporating a limited slip differential. The Conquest is capable of speeds of more than 100mph, reaching 60mph in little more than seven seconds. An anti-roll bar, wishbone suspension system and sports-style shock absorbers on both sides help provide secure handling regardless of road conditions, while hydraulically controlled front and rear disc brakes ensure excellent stopping power with a mere squeeze of a single lever.
The rider enters and exits the vehicle via a remote controlled ramp which, when in place, forms the rear of the vehicle and gives smooth symmetrical body lines. Once inside the vehicle the wheelchair is clamped into place by an industry standard docking system. The rider then uses a thumb-operated, six-speed gear change system, which includes a reverse gear, electronic parking brake and digital display (all ergonomically designed) making the Conquest a pleasure to ride.

The Conquest 1200 costs just short of £25,000. A wealth of optional extras are available, allowing further customisation including personalised bodywork paint designs and items from sound systems, heated grips up to a detachable motorcycle seat!
The goal of designer Martin Conquest was to create a safe and accessible means of transport for all types of wheelchairs and wheelchair users, and has provided this high performance vehicle to pleased customers around the world.
