North West specialist driving school Diverse Road Safety CIC have won a prestigious Positive Action Award 2010 for exceptional services to disabled people.
Diverse Road Safety believe that with the right training and guidance, most people are able to learn how to drive and gain the independence and confidence they deserve. They offer specialist training, with experienced professional instructors to anyone, whatever their ability.
Diverse Road Safety were nominated by Anita Wainwright. “Diverse Road Safety have helped me get back on the straight and narrow,” she said. “They’ve given me driving lessons and helped me to get on courses for my ADHD and dyslexia. Before I met Tina Preston, I didn’t know I had ADHD but now, with her help, I’ve been able to access support and improve mine and my son’s life.”
Tina Preston, one of Diverse Road Safety’s Directors said: “It is such an honour to win this award. Our office staff and instructors have worked so hard, this award shows that their dedication has really paid off. We believe that everyone can learn how to drive whatever their ability, it’s really lovely to be recognised for our hard work.”
