As the founding member of the new Be the Difference employment initiative, Primas Media, publisher of Able Magazine, is looking to recruit disabled people into two important roles.

Primas Media is a Glasgow based, market leading publishing house. We have a track record of employing and developing disabled talent. We’re interested in hearing from disabled people that want to work in print media.

Case study:

Tom, Editor

“I celebrated 10 years with Primas Media earlier this year and I’ve been the editor of Able Magazine for six years.

I had only just received my diagnosis of cystic fibrosis when I joined the company but wasn’t really having to deal with any severe symptoms. Since then, however, my condition has developed but I’m fortunate that, of course, my employers understand disability and we’ve been able to work together to make sure that I’m able to get the recuperation I need in order to give my best to a job I’m really proud to do.

They really do have a flexible approach when it comes to medical appointments and other matters pertaining to my disability. In fact, all of my colleagues are given the opportunity to fulfil their roles properly, giving them any further support they require to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities.”

Sales Executive

Primas Media is looking for experienced sales professionals to join our team. You’ll need to be self-motivated and driven, with excellent communication skills, since we operate in a consultative style. Ideally, you’ll have a proven track record in achieving sales targets, though not necessarily within an advertising sales environment.

Salary: £22,500 per annum, plus commission

Freelance Writer

Able Magazine is looking for passionate disabled people that want to write about disability matters. We write from a positive framework so we’re interested in people that are keen to find the answers and solutions that make Able Magazine a ‘must read’ for disabled people.

Salary: Dependant per project

To receive full job description details of either of these opportunities, send a CV and covering letter outlining your experience and why you’d like to work with us to:
