SUNRISE QUICKIE TI TITANIUM

With titanium alloy approximately three times stronger than aluminium, but not three times heavier, it’s now possible to build even lighter, simpler wheelchair frames; and titanium tubing also provides a more controlled rebound and superior torque strength. With an average weight under 17 pounds, the Quickie Ti Titanium is one of Quickie’s premium rigid-chair choices. Innovations include threading caster forks directly into the frame, a special pivot caster-adjuster which allows the forks to pivot 16° in 2° increments (enabling users to adjust the seat “slope” between 1” and 3.5”) and an adjustable axle plate allowing differing wheel sizes, seat heights and seat angles. SUNRISE QUICKIE NEON

With its innovative cross-brace and the newly-designed, fold-down backrest, the Neon achieves unheard of folded dimensions, easing storage and transport requirements, and making the Neon the ideal companion for the active individual. Weighing in at just 21 pounds, the Neon – like the Quickie Ti Titanium & Quickie Argon – features a very popular minimalist frame design, but can carry users up to 21 stone. TILITE 2GX FOLDING WHEELCHAIR

Available from Gerald Simonds, the new TiLite 2GX folding frame wheelchair is made from seamless aerospace-grade titanium and features TiLite’s new Tru-Fit clamp-on component system – comprising of the TiLite Rigid Frame Mechanism (RFM), rear axle plate and front castor clamp which all clamp onto the new frame instead of being bolted through. Nomad chairs are hand-built in the UK with the goal of raising the level of what you, the user, can expected. The Nomad offers streamlined, flowing lines but the design is nevertheless led by function; adjustability is where it matters (the few moving parts bringing reliability and strength). The company’s ethos can be seen in the introduction of an innovative, rubberized anti-slip gripping system for the mrk1’s footplate; more modern in appearance, the footrest is height and angle adjustable.
