The Samee Project was set up to help you make informed decisions about your life. We have been given many opportunities for training and support, and now we would like to help you too. We are a Bournemouth-based venture that was set-up to support people with disabilities in Bournemouth, around Dorset and beyond. We offers an employment centre, advice & support for people who want to be entrepreneurs, and training & skills development. In short, The Samee Project is all about helping start-ups and enterpreneurs develop confidence to achieve their goals.
So what can we offer . . .
Employment Centre
We have built a safe space just for you. We have free internet, drinks and other things to help you on your journey. We can print your cv off, help you with applying for a job or give you that practice interview. We can work on your skills, offer you some voluntary work and even help you network!
Self-Employment Support
If you are thinking about going self-employed or are applying for a job that comes with a self-employed contract, we can help. We will make sure you understand the pros and cons, how to set a personal budget and how to organise yourself. We will work with you to ensure that you understand tax, national insurance and, most importantly, bookkeeping.
Skills
What skills have you got … what are your strengths. We will work through your skill set to make sure that you shine! Many people work to their negatives, but let us show you what a success you are.
Interview Techniques
There are many different types of interview now. Let us offer you a workshop on the different styles so that you have a basic knowledge of what is expected of you. We can give you a taster of each one with our mentors, so that you get to have a practice before you attend the real one.
