Felicity Martin RhythmicThe schedule for the Special Olympics 2013 National Summer Games has now been released. Across three days of competition 1,700 athletes will compete in 12 sports, beginning with the opening ceremony on the evening of 28 August at Bath’s Royal Crescent.

Nine events will be held at the University of Bath, while Bowling and Aquatics will take place in separate facilities at Bristol and Golf will take place at Bath Golf Course which borders the university of Bath campus.

The earliest competitions begin at 09:00 am (Tennis and Boccia). The Aquatics venue will be packed with family members cheering on their athletes. Members of the public wishing to watch the athletes in action will be able to come along on the day. There are also evening competitions for Boccia or Rhythmic Gymnastics.
