Sight Village London To Return

Sight Village 300x300 Sight Village London To ReturnAn exhibition bringing together the latest innovations in technology and services available to visually-impaired people returns  to Kensington Town Hall on 2-3 November.

From trialling a guide dog to seeing how your mobile phone can be transformed into a text magnifying CCTV device, the QAC Sight Village brings a wide range of sight solutions under one roof.

Exhibition organiser Ray Piggott, explained: “Visual impairment doesn’t have to stop you living an independent and enriched life. This is the positive message we want to make loud and clear at QAC Sight Village in London.

“If you want to communicate quickly with friends while you’re out and about, send them emails, update your Facebook profile, Tweet your latest news or listen to podcasts, you can do it,” he adds. “If you want to play football, read a book, go to university, get the job of your dreams; there is all sort of support out there to help vision impaired people do all of these things and more.”

QAC Sight Village is equally about creating a supportive, social and interactive environment for visually-impaired people to find new ways to live and work independently.

The annual exhibition is organised by Queen Alexandra College, a specialist provider of education and training for people who are blind or partially sighted.
