Snozone-Disability-Logo-FINALSnozone Disability Snowsports now operates across both sites and offers children and adults the chance to enjoy the freedom of snow sports, regain their confidence and self-esteem as well the possibility of competing at national or international levels.  Coaches at Snozone work with each individual to ensure the seat fits as well as any ski boot, and provides a unique experience to each guest whether using the sit-ski independently or with assistance.

Snowsports are a fantastic way to increase fitness levels and this is no different for those with additional requirements.   In fact using a sit-ski gives a concentrated work-out on the upper body and improves arm and shoulder strength. Plus with access 364 days a year everyone can participate and benefit from snow sports all year round with the summer season being the best time to learn with quieter slopes and great quality snow.  At Snozone, their season actually starts on 23rd April!

To highlight Disability Awareness Day on 10th July 2016, Snozone will be offering guests with additional requirements free adaptive sessions between 10am-4pm, so they can experience the thrills of snowsports!

Stephen Jordan, Head of Snowsports at Snozone Milton Keynes says: “Our highly experienced Adaptive Coaches will guide and train skiers and snowboarders at both sites, from beginners to National Team athletes.   The sit-skis take our tuition one step further without having to hire or depend on an external organisation to provide these for us, increasing our growing number of adaptive guests whose testimonials show how much they’re already benefitting from the adventure of snow sports.  Some are already enjoying 360’s (360 degree turns) and backward skiing down the slopes!”

Individual consultations and free sessions on 10th July are available for any interested parties at both sites by emailing snowsports.mk@snozoneuk.com (Milton Keynes) or snowsports.cas@snozoneuk.com (Castleford).
