I can tell you that an order has already been placed for a sparkling Best In Show Awards trophy for Naidex 2016. With just a couple of weeks to wait, it’s already looking like another superb year for innovation within the disability marketplace.

By Tom Jamison, Editor of Able Magazine

Looking at the Naidex website, there are already some cracking looking products listed on the Innovation Trail page. New companies and established names in the industry are putting their best foot forward, introducing new products that will automatically be entered into the Able Magazine, Naidex Best In Show Awards and there’s still time for any organisations exhibiting at Naidex 2016 to submit their products into the competition.

The awards celebrate the best of what’s happening in the UK’s disability marketplace and concentrates on key areas: function, form, usability and value for money. In other words whilst it showcases amazing products it also champions the consumer and gives them a solid benchmark by which to judge new ideas for themselves.

With hundreds of exhibitor stalls to visit and literally thousands of different products to see, the innovation trail has become something of a highlights package that visitors refer to in order to make sure that they’ve not missed out on looking at the best new ideas.

Last year’s winner, Loopwheels, who are again exhibiting at Naidex in 2016 won last year’s Best In Show Award with a product that introduced a new way to provide suspension-style qualities to wheelchair wheels enabling users a smoother and less fatiguing ride. It was a truly incredible product where the word ‘breakthrough’ was entirely appropriate.

Because of its enormous scale, Naidex can feel overwhelming to visitors and as such people are looking to hear voices they trust. Able Magazine is that voice; backed up by over 20 years of reporting on disability issues and discussing disability products. The fact that Able Magazine provides both the judging criteria and the judges to the Naidex Best In Show Awards is a great way of connecting exhibitors with visitors.

So, what are you waiting for? Submit your products via: http://www.naidex.co.uk/page.cfm/link=114 and we’ll see you in Birmingham.
