The Hugbike is a great twist on the traditional cycle tandem. The long curved handlebars stretch back to the person at the rear, who actually does the steering. Additionally, of course, the person on the front of the bike, who may, for example, have a learning or sensory disability feels comfortably embraced and protected or ‘hugged’ as they ride along.
Naturally, the rear rider needs to have decent visibility in order to steer safely, a point that needs to be considered pre-purchase.
