At Scottish Water, we believe that all our employees have talent and that these talents should be identified and deployed to best effect across the business.  We have an open and inclusive working culture where everyone feels comfortable to be themselves and has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We support colleagues with disabilities during the recruitment process and in the workplace by taking steps to understand what adjustments need to be made to enable them to perform at their best.

We have recently created Scottish Water’s Disability Forum. This group of individuals from across our business will play a key role in shaping our agenda of raising awareness and supporting people with disabilities or a long term health condition.

We also provide training for our line managers around how to support colleagues in their team who have a physical or mental disability, providing on-line training resources and development interventions. This training aims to build competence and confidence in our leadership population in supporting all colleagues within the disability spectrum.

We are also members of the Business Disability Forum, which provides us with pragmatic support by sharing expertise, giving advice, providing training and facilitating networking opportunities with other organisations.

There are a wide range of career opportunities available at Scottish Water.  By fostering a diverse and inclusive culture, we aim to generate fresh thinking, better solutions and sustainable high performance.
