On 1st March, MND Association launched the next stage of the MND Charter campaign, ‘Champion the Charter on your doorstep’.
This phase brings their national MND Charter campaign to a local level by encouraging councils to adopt the Charter and help make a difference to people living with MND in their communities.
Councils play a key role in delivering a number of the points within the MND Charter and our campaign will help ensure councils are better informed and understand the needs of people with MND.
Association supporters have played a vital role over the past three years, promoting the MND Charter and gathering 33,630 signatures and have already achieved support from 16 councils. They want to continue that momentum and ensure more councils across the country adopt the Charter and work towards achieving the right care, in the right place, at the right time for people with MND.
MND Association are encouraging supporters to speak to their local councillors about MND and ask them to encourage the council to adopt the MND Charter.
