Motability Scheme customers in Hampshire and surrounding areas are being offered the chance to try out a range of adapted vehicles, to find the perfect solution for their needs. The free Adapted Test Drive Day takes place at Thruxton Racecourse, Hampshire on 25 July.

Ash Evans, Events Manager at Motability Operations, said:

“It can be daunting for Scheme customers to find the adaptations that work for them. That’s why we are hosting this event, so our customers can find out everything they need to know about the hundreds of adaptations available all in one place.

“At the event, customers will be able to try out some popular adaptations and find one that works best for them. When we’ve hosted these events before, our customers have said the event gave them the chance to look at vehicles and adaptations they wouldn’t have considered previously and they now feel more prepared to choose their next vehicle.”

There are over 15,000 Motability Scheme customers in Hampshire, all with varying accessibility needs, and this event will enable them to try out some of the most popular driving adaptations including steering aids, hand controls, swivel chairs and hoists. There will also be a range of electric vehicles (EVs) fitted with adaptations, to help customers feel comfortable and confident about switching to an EV.
