Luke Snowden, One Big Day event manager at Motability Operations celebrates the success of The Big Event in Manchester and looks forward to the rest of the One Big Day events taking place across the UK this summer.
“Our summer events programme started on a very successful note last week as the ‘The Big Event’ welcomed 8,600 visitors to Manchester’s EventCity! The whole team are now focused on finalising the details for the next four events to ensure they are just as successful!
We’ll be visiting venues across the country in the coming months to showcase a range of the vehicles that are available to lease through the Motability Scheme and offer visitors the opportunity to find out more about the Scheme. The next stop is the One Big Day at Yorkshire Event Centre on Saturday 6 June.
Vehicles on display at the One Big Day events include cars, scooters, powered wheelchairs and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles and our Test Drive team is on hand to offer test drives of both adapted and non-adapted vehicles for those keen to see if a particular model is right for them. If you are planning to take a test drive, my advice is to remember to bring your full driving licence, including the paper counterpart (if applicable) with you.
Our own mascot, Billy the Bear, will be at all the One Big Day events and will be kept very busy entertaining our younger visitors, in addition to the free face painting and balloon modellers. There are also free children’s activity packs and games, and don’t forget to redeem your orange token (handed out at reception on arrival) for a free cup of tea, coffee or a soft drink.
