At Naidex, anything is possible.
With face-to-face events coming back, we are happy to announce that Able Magazine have partnered with the independent living and disability show, Naidex. As one of the few shows dedicated to the independent living community going ahead this year, it is incredibly exciting to see the return of live demonstrations, workshops and inspirational speakers.
Running from 15 – 16 September at NEC, Birmingham, our partners at Naidex have spent the last 18 months fine-tuning and curating their most exciting event yet.
This year, Naidex is focusing on bringing everyone back together and celebrating the independent living community and everything it has to offer. Featuring interactive sessions and workshops to inspiring keynote speakers, Naidex provides something for everyone.
Mobility Test Track
This year sees the welcome return of the ever-popular Mobility Test Track, sponsored by mobility aid manufacturer, TGA Mobility. The track is one of Naidex’s most established features. By including a variety of artificial terrain and obstacles, you can experience the latest mobility aids for yourself to gauge suitability. Providing a true representation of product performance, the track allows visitors to try different scooters and powerchairs before purchasing.
Live Sports Arena
Focused on promoting inclusion and interaction, within a purpose-built arena, you can try your hand at new sports and activities through exciting interactive workshops. The arena is always buzzing with activity and excitement and allows participants to discover new passions within a safe environment.
Naidex have partnered with some of the biggest adaptive sports associations to provide a wide range of activities from martial arts to snowsports. Don’t miss out on the most action-packed feature of Naidex.
Our speaker sessions will delve into topics such as accessibility and inclusion from disability campaigners, entrepreneurs and athletes. Just recently Naidex announced the first of their keynote speakers, Paralympic gold medallist and world champion adaptive rower, Naomi Riches MBE.
“The worst thing about disability is that people see it, before they see you.” – Naomi will share her experiences of growing up registered blind and how her unrelenting desire to show the world she is not defined by her disability, led to one of the most emotional and unforgettable moments in GB Paralympics history…
There are plenty more keynote speakers yet to be announced, but if Naomi is anything to go by, these sessions really cannot be missed!
This year, join Able Magazine at Naidex and discover everything the show has to offer. From CPD accredited seminars and interactive sessions to demonstrations and incredible networking opportunities, Naidex offers something for everyone.
