April Day, (10) from Loof, was reprimanded this week for leading her assistance dog astray.

A note from headteacher, Ms Jo Kerr of Larks Primary School expressed disappointment that April Day had attempted to fool her class teacher into believing that her ‘dog had eaten her homework’ of its own accord, saying that it had been left unguarded on the desk in her bedroom.

After being carefully questioned by teacher, Pete Rank, April admitted that she had taught her assistance dog, called Trick, to chew up her schoolbooks giving truth to the fibs she intended to tell on returning to school.

Ms Jo Kerr told Able Magazine that April had previously sought to exploit Trick’s incredible talents and that she was now reviewing a recent art project completed by the pupil because of what appear to be “suspicious paw marks”.
