What is the best way to finance my accessible vehicle?

Many of our customers use the Motability Scheme. Used by over 630,000 people, it provides a simple way to lease a new vehicle. For new wheelchair accessible vehicles, you can opt for a five year contract hire agreement which includes insurance, breakdown assistance, servicing and maintenance. You can also apply for a grant towards the advance payment. Find out more at: www.motability.co.uk. If you prefer not to use the scheme, we recommend Evolution Finance who specialise in WAV finance.

Can I have a demonstration of the vehicle I am interested in?

Yes. All home demonstrations are free and we always advise a test drive in an area that is familiar to you. We have a fleet of demonstration vehicles and will bring a fully converted vehicle out to you. One of our experienced mobility specialists will give you help and advice on accessible vehicles, adaptations and funding options.

How long does the whole process take?

If you are looking to purchase a new vehicle it can take approximately 16 20 weeks as the base vehicle is ordered from the manufacturer. The conversion then takes several weeks and your vehicle will then be fitted with any adaptations you require before it goes through a rigorous quality control process. If you need a vehicle much quicker, we often have stock available and also a range of approved used vehicles.

Is vehicle delivery included?

Yes, this is also free of charge. During the handover of your vehicle our mobility specialist will go through the conversion features and adaptations in detail so you have a full understanding of how everything works.

What service and warranty should I expect?

As a ‘Motability Preferred Supplier’ we are extremely proud of our aftersales service. Our customers have access to a dedicated customer service team based at head office. If you use the Motability Scheme your service and warranty will be included for the life of your agreement. If you purchase the vehicle directly from Sirus, a three-year warranty and service is included. Around four weeks into your agreement, one of our mobile service engineers will come to your home to carry out a familiarisation check to ensure everything is in working order and you are completely happy with your vehicle.
