Steps returned this year with a huge UK arena tour, plus a brand-new single and album, marking their twentieth anniversary.
As the ‘Party On The Dancefloor’ tour visited Glasgow’s SSE Hydro venue, the Able team went to relive some good times.
Earlier this year the band released ‘Tears On The Dancefloor’ which marks the band’s first full album of original material since 2000 and is full of huge pop classics that are designed to get everyone back on the dancefloor – so you can imagine how fantastic it was to see the band back on stage. The band that scored 14 consecutive top five singles, sold over 20 million records and reached number one with three albums and three singles looked like they’d never been away.
Giving everyone a great night out has always been the way with Steps and the SSE Hydro in Glasgow was the perfect venue given its outstanding accessible features that include broad gangways and plenty of lifts, as well as a number of accessible toilets on the ground floor and Level 2 of the venue (accessible with Radar keys).
A Changing Places Toilet is also available on Level 2 and the venue also offers a useful wheelchair hire option.
It’s been quite a year for Steps but as their 20th anniversary draws to a close the energy and excitement that’s such an important part of the band’s legend continues with the announcement of a series of Summer shows for 2018 (dates below).
