The Salsa M2 immediately feels chunky and stable. This is, in the main, due to it having six wheels (all with independent suspension) that will take care of rough outdoor surfaces and obstacles. Nevertheless, the Salsa M2 has outstanding indoor manoeuvrability, again due to being mid-wheel drive and can turn on its own axis creating a highly compact turning circle. Furthermore, because it is only 61cm’s wide, it’ll fit comfortably through standard domestic doorframes, etc.
Other features, such as the low seat to floor height (from 43cm’s) with powered COG tilt or 45cm’s with lift/tilt enable easier transfers or better positioning under tables, for example. (The seating is also adjustable.)
Options that can be added start with tilt–in–space, lift and tilt, powered leg rests and a choice of body colour options (matt black, classic white, vibrant red or electric blue). It has a maximum weight capacity of 22 stones (140kg).
