Taxi drivers in Guernsey are being urged to make their cabs more accessible for the disabled.
A new taxi plate is available for existing and new taxi drivers for vehicles specifically designed to meet all islanders’ needs.

The move comes as part of Guernsey’s Transport Strategy, which has already suffered a blow with key width and emission charges pulled from the plan. This month it faces yet another challenge with the paid parking proposal. But despite these issues, these taxi plans are staying firmly in place.
Deputy Barry Brehaut told ITV News it’s about making sure people can take part in the community and get out and about without having to worry.
