The bungalow is laid out to be as open plan as possible. There is a kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a lounge and a wet roll in bathroom. It is level access throughout.
All internal doorways and the garden door backing onto the wheelchair ramp are between 800mm and 940mm wide. Bedroom 1, Bedroom2, Bathroom 910mm wide, Kitchen to lounge 800mm wide
The garden door to ramp 940mm wide.

A brand new dining kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge/freezer, electric hob, electric oven, microwave and of course a kettle and toaster. The kitchen table folds away to create more room when not required.
There are several configurations available for the bedrooms. There is a double/twin bedroom, and a single bedroom.
Bedroom options (selected at booking time) is as follows:
Bedroom 1 (the double/twin)
Bedroom 1 can be set up as one of the following:
1) double bed
2) twin beds
3) Electric profile bed & single bed. we can swap one of the single beds for the electric profile bed that is in the single room. So the double bedroom has one electric profile bed and one single bed – and the single room has a single bed. This does involve an engineer taking the electric profile to bed to move bedrooms and rebuilding it again (and then repeating to reset it back again at the end of the stay) so we do charge £45 one off fee for this.
Single bedroom with an Invacare Medley ergo electric profile bed (see full specification here) with Medipro plus Comfort mattress to allow carers to raise and lower as required. A mobile hoist can be loaned from us if required. contact us for details.
This room can also be turned into a sensory room with lighting on request. We can loan you a Spacecraft LED bubble tube, Spacecraft projector and sensory solutions disk, and a fibre optic sensory light spread. Most of this equipment was kindly donated by our friends at Accessible Derbyshire
On request we can add a camp bed to the single bedroom turning it into a two person room. We have done this before for families where one child needs the electric profile bed and cotsides, but a second able bodied sibling wants to share the same room. We have also done this when a Carer needed to share the same room as their client.
Large open plan with freesat tv (over 200 channels), an electric riser/recliner chair, a rocking chair and a bed settee that provides a bed for a single adult or two children. A side light, a standard light and a dimmer switch on the main lights all help provide atmospheric lighting to relax in the evenings.
The wet bathroom has a shower and shower chair and an elevated toilet and a wheelchair friendly sink. It has grab rails and transfer bars fitted around the WC, the sink and the shower.
The transfer bars by the WC folds up out of the way when not required. The floor tiles are textured for extra traction and grip. We can also loan guests a wheeled showerchair/commode or static shower chair if they wish.
We have built a wheelchair safari path running through a sensory garden. The garden is level access throughout and is 330 sqare metres with views over open countryside. It has a fabulous water feature that provides a tactile experience and fills the garden with the tranquil sound of flowing water. There are also colour and scent sections of the garden and 5 tactile statues set at wheelchair height around the path.
We also have large areas of level paved slabs front and back of the bungalow, with a wheelchair friendly picnic table and a gas BBQ to make the most of those hot sunny evenings.
There is parking for one vehicle at the property. Access is down a 30 metre single track from the main road. If you unload on the right or behind you will need to reverse down the drive and drive out. If you unload on the left you will need to drive in and reverse out.
