Set in 240 acres of pastureland and woodland, this working farm offers a fantastic standard of accessible self catering holiday accommodation in the Lake District.
25 years ago, whilst in their 60’s, Reg and Joan “retired” up to the farm, where they established an award winning Texel sheep flock as well as converting the barns into lovely self catering apartments with level access throughout, wet rooms and accessible kitchens.
Alas, Reg has passed on recently, but Joan and her daughter continue to work the farm and look after all their lovely visitors who return year after year to enjoy the farm and its surroundings.
This year we have 107 little lambs skipping about in the field, enjoying the most fabulous warm weather that we have been experiencing.
We have been welcoming new visitors to the farm who have been thrilled with the cottages and also enjoyed visiting local attractions. We are also proud to be welcoming a party from the Disabled Ramblers again this year who enjoy using our cottages as a base. We were also able to offer accommodation to Debbie North, in support of her bid to raise money for an all terrain wheelchair at Kielder Forest.
