Premier features almost 1,000 four and five-star self-catering cottages across the UK ranging from small, romantic boltholes to large family-friendly country estates. The collection has the widest range of accessible properties in the UK, and also offers plenty of dog-friendly accommodation so there’s no need to leave the family pet at home.

Perfect for a relaxing, family-friendly break, many of the cottages boast facilities such as swimming pools, gyms, indoor games rooms and children’s play areas. A few even have their own spa and most have plenty of space for children to run freely, in safety.

Premier Cottage members pride themselves in offering a holiday rather than just a cottage and as most of the owners live on site they are there to help when needed and to provide guests with information on local events, restaurants and attractions.

Beautiful

One of the accessible properties you might choose to stay at is Bardown Farm, a beautiful, child friendly working farm with livestock and panoramic views across the Weald. Four properties on the site have been sympathetically restored into five star accommodations.

One of these properties, the ‘Calf Shed’, is a fi ve-star M3AE cottage that’s ideal for people with mobility impairments and has complete level access, a fully accessible kitchen and a pair of electric profi ling beds. Fabulous onsite facilities include: an outdoor swimming pool, games room, swings and play area.

The Calf Shed has a hoist, self propelled shower chair, raised toilet, wet room and a profi ling bed. The solid oak and limestone fl oors make manoeuvring a wheelchair or mobility scooter easy and a rise and recline chair makes the perfect seat in the lounge area. There are also grab rails that can attach anywhere in the bathrooms and elephants’ feet to raise furniture if needed. (The owners can also arrange carers to come in for personal care and an air mattress if required.)

The Calf Shed has its own garden and assistance dogs are welcome.

The Farmyard

Bardown Farm is an active working farm with sheep, cattle, a goat and ponies that can be visited by wheelchair users, as well as free range hens that will come to visit you! The owners are also planning on purchasing an Oxford Dipper Hoist that will enable guests to use the pool. The views of the High Weald are stunning and can be fully appreciated from the farmyard.
