The Clear Company is the UK’s leading auditor of inclusive best practice in recruitment through ClearAudit. Over the last decade we have audited recruitment policy, process and practice for some of the UK’s leading employers to help them become disability confident in creating better opportunities for people from under-represented groups in the work place.
Call us on 0845 293 0963 to discuss how your organisation might benefit from an audit of its recruitment policies, processes and practices.
The Clear Company have a variety of other services and products available to your organisation including:
ClearKit, ClearAssured and ClearExpertise
The Disability ClearKit is the result of three years in-depth research with 220 leading employers, developed in association with the DWP, to address the barriers employers face when recruiting disabled talent by inspiring, educating and empowering organisations to adopt best practice principles when recruiting.
Designed by employers for employers, this ClearKit combines the experience of thought leaders and employer case studies with relevant and helpful tips and ‘must do’ check lists which help dispel the myths that prevent many employers from giving disabled people an opportunity to join their teams. ClearKit also provides all the information that you may need surrounding reasonable adjustments, including our Directory of ClearAssured service providers, to help you implement any changes you may need to make.
Employers of all sizes have contributed and we are very pleased to provide a sample of contributors and partners below:
BT, Eon UK, Home Office, UK Border Agency, HMRC, Sainsbury’s, South Eastern Trains, Mitie Group plc, Royal Mail Group, Lloyds Banking Group, ITV, DWP, Job Centre Plus, Chartered Institute of Housing, Employers Forum on Disability, NHS, Blackpool Council, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Visit Manchester, The Cooperative
The ClearAssured process is an on-line self assessment programme which is underpinned by the guidance and expert advice provided through ClearKitResources. The self assessment conducted by the organisation is then tested using the free candidate feedback service, ClearFeedback, to provide evidence of the experiences of disabled people going through the organisation’s recruitment processes.
ClearExpertise online resource centre provides a growing number of services through the ClearKit site to organisations undertaking the ClearAssured assessment programme. These expert advice services include employment law, web accessibility, access to work, alternative assessment methods, career development and people management, talent acquisition strategies and many more.

ClearTalents
ClearTalents™ is an online system designed to help candidates applying for a job to declare their circumstances so that employers can make appropriate and ‘reasonable’ changes to the recruitment process in order to give the candidate the best opportunity to show their true talent.
Employers displaying the ClearTalents™ logo are disability confident and will make every appropriate effort to welcome any suitably qualified candidate into their workforce regardless of their circumstances, disability, commitments or background.
ClearLearning
Many recruiters feel unable to ask for clarification as the rest of the organisation is content to assume their competency in the subject, which is rarely the case. Hence the ‘fear factor’ continues to be one of the biggest barriers to more inclusive recruitment.
We have therefore developed a range of inspiring and empowering in-house, external and e-learning workshops and masterclasses tailored to the areas that we regularly identify as ‘sticking points’ in an organisation’s diversity journey.
