This Christmas, Reading Rep Theatre invites you to experience the timeless magic of A Christmas Carol. Dickens’ classic tale of Scrooge, the ghosts of Christmas, and the Cratchit family comes alive in a bold and heart-warming production that has become a festive tradition for audiences in Reading.

At Reading Rep, we want every audience member to feel welcome and supported during their visit. That’s why we try our best to programme accessible performances throughout the season, this year’s run of A Christmas Carol is no different and includes a series of accessible performances designed to ensure that everyone can enjoy the magic of live theatre:

Relaxed Performance – Friday 6 December at 3pm 
Perfect for anyone who would benefit from a more laid-back theatre environment. House lights remain up, sound and lighting are adjusted, and audiences are free to move around or make noise.BSL Interpreted and Captioned Performance – Wednesday 11 December at 7.30pm 
For D/deaf and hard of hearing audiences, this performance will include integrated British Sign Language interpretation and captions so that the story can be enjoyed in full.

Touch Tour – Monday 16 December at 3pm
A special opportunity for blind or visually impaired audiences to explore the set, costumes, and props before the show, helping to bring the world of Dickens’ London vividly to life.

Reading Rep Theatre is fully wheelchair accessible, with step-free access throughout, accessible toilets, and detailed information available on Reading Rep Theatre’s website to help plan your visit. They also have free parking on site.
