Naidex is the UK’s leading disability, inclusion and accessibility event and returns this year with a bold new look, and new features. Furthermore, Able Magazine is also pleased to announce the continuation of its long and close association with the event.
Regular visitors to Naidex will certainly spot that the event has had a dramatic refresh for 2026. Led by accessibility, inclusivity, and community insight, Naidex has redoubled its important efforts in amplifying key voices from the disability community and commitment towards removing the barriers that stand between disabled people and independent living. Naturally, Able Magazine is also part of this process and is again proud to have been chosen as official disability media partner – an arrangement that stretches back over a decade!
Importantly, Naidex is also about connection and the opportunity to celebrate inclusion, independence and empowerment. With more than 12,000 visitors expected, over 200 expert speakers, and around 250 world-class exhibitors, this event brings the disability community together under one roof.
Special guests
As we go to press, a diverse range of speakers and special guests has been announced, including, model and actress, Ellie Goldstein and inspiring disability activist, Shani Dhanda. Jodie Ounsley, who may be better known to many as Fury from BBC TV show, Gladiators, will also be appearing. Plus, you’ll undoubtedly want to see Tola Andu with Able Magazine editor, Tom Jamison, record a live episode of the ‘Raising Kevin’ podcast, where they’ll discuss her ongoing work towards inclusion and celebrating neurodiversity.
The programme also includes appearances from other influential speakers, advocates, and experts focused on disability, accessibility, and independent living, such as Paralympic Champion, Richard Whitehead MBE, Lucy Edwards, Jay Howard, Phil Eaglesham, Thomas Mills, Kerry Evans, Martyn Sibley, Celia Chartres-Aris and Jessica Schibli.
For younger visitors, Naidex Junior speakers include Pippa Stacey, Melanie Burrough, Rachel Wright, Charlie Beswick, and Dr. Amy Kavanagh.

Plenty to see and do
The accessible layout of Naidex is continually being improved and remains a fantastic place to look over any number of specialist products and services from many different disability manufacturers, dealerships, organisations and charities, including assistive technology and mobility aids, home adaptation and daily living products, health and rehabilitation and inclusive lifestyle and leisure offerings, all designed to support independent living and better wellbeing for disabled people. It’s a great place to compare and try out a range of products and services – including on the indoor Mobility Test Track.
Naidex also features the Business Without Barriers summit and careers fair which helps connect disabled jobseekers with employers who value accessibility and diversity, or for people looking for employment related advice.
Naidex is also the place to discuss questions relating to support services with a range of experts regarding navigating healthcare systems, social care and support pathways, accessibility guidance, regulatory updates or disability rights. That said, it’s not all about serious stuff, so be sure to catch some live music or comedy, on the Village Green, or perhaps try a movement workshop or another accessible activity that might suit you.
Whether you live with a disability yourself or support someone who does, Naidex 2026 is more than just an exhibition. Perhaps because it’s principally about people that visitors take away so much inspiration from attending – and that of course, at Naidex, everything is disability friendly in the way that the outside world often isn’t!
Naidex Junior
New for this year is Naidex Junior, a dedicated area exploring topics of interest to young disabled people and their families, schools, therapists and support networks. It’s bound to be a hugely popular addition to the event since it’s clear that supporting young disabled people from an early age is a major indicator for success and social mobility as they grow up. Expect a celebration of inclusion through play, entertainment and age-appropriate products.
The new space will feature assistive technology and mobility products for young people, educational support, SEN provision and local authority services, accessible play, sport and leisure, as well as parent and caregiver support pathways.
Visit the Able Magazine stand
As mentioned, Able Magazine has been closely involved with Naidex, the UK’s largest independent living event, for many years. We’ll be meeting and greeting our many readers and partners from our stand, as well as our editor, Tom Jamison, taking up his traditional interview sessions on the Main Stage (which this year include Paralympic Champion, Richard Whitehead MBE) and of course, running the well-established ‘Best In Show’ award for the product or service that impresses our judges the most. You’re welcome to drop by our stand and pick up a complimentary copy of the latest edition of Able Magazine.

Best in Show Award
Also returning for 2026 will be the Able Magazine Best in Show Award, operated in association with Naidex, which aims to find the top product or service from the hundreds featured on the show floor, as judged on: usability, innovation, design and value. It’s a huge challenge but one that underscores the benefits of being able to compare disability products and services in a hands-on way with the help of knowledgeable exhibitors – and if you’re aiming to purchase mobility aids, there’s even the opportunity to put them through their paces on the Mobility Test Track.
Win!
You’ll also be able to enter our latest competition, in partnership with Holistic Thinking Holidays (HTH) to win a £500 voucher that can be redeemed against a break in one of their accessible properties in one of 13 holiday parks spread around England and Wales.
