Neurodivergent audiences at the British Film Institute are welcomed as Relaxed Screenings launch a new partnership with Stims Collective.

Growing Access
Building on the existing access offer for neurodivergent audiences, Relaxed Screenings at the British Film Institute are entering new territory through a fresh partnership with Stims Collective. This collaboration expands the offer and enhances accessibility for those seeking low-sensory cinema experiences. Stims Collective are a collective of film scholars, journalists and filmmakers, with a mission to create and curate relaxed spaces for neurodiverse audiences.

Relaxed Screenings are held monthly for members of the neurodiverse community, along with their assistants and carers. Each event includes a focused introduction and discussion led by the Stims Collective team, creating a space for connection and community and growing the experience beyond simply watching incredible films on the big screen.

These screenings are an extension of our accessible programming and are curated in partnership with Stims Collective to provide a monthly space for gathering and joy, tailored for a neurodiverse audience.

Highlights
Join Stims Collective at the British Film Institute for a screening of The Long Day Closes as part of Terence Davies’
