Join us this Christmas for The BFG in our Royal Shakespeare Theatre and The Forsyte Saga Parts 1 & 2 in our Swan Theatre for the perfect treat.

Experience The BFG at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre

Gather your chiddlers to see Roald Dahl’s unforgettable story The BFG come to life this winter, playing from the 25 November- 7 February in our Royal Shakespeare Theatre. One extraordinary night, a young orphan named Sophie is snatched by a giant and taken far away to Giant Country. There she learns that human-eating giants are guzzling ‘norphans’ the world over. But she soon discovers that her new friend, the BFG, is different – he’s a dream-catching, snozzcumber-munching gentle soul who refuses to eat humans.

While other giants terrorise the world, the BFG ignites Sophie’s imagination, and they devise a daring plan to save children everywhere. In the end, the smallest human bean and the gentlest giant prove that a dream can change the world.

Tom Wells’ magical new adaptation is directed by RSC Co-Artistic Director Daniel Evans.

The Forsyte Saga: Parts 1 & 2 at the Swan Theatre

In our Swan Theatre a sumptuous period drama plays from the 28 November- 10 January as John Galsworthy’s Nobel-winning saga about love, ownership and the end of Empire, The Forsyte Saga Parts 1 & 2, is retold by Lin Coghlan and Shaun McKenna.

1886. The Empire is at its peak. Business is good for the Forsytes. Over sixty years they have invested, acquired and saved their way towards wealth. But the Forsyte lust for ownership is relentless.

Soames’ possessive love for his wife Irene shatters their marriage. Her break for freedom triggers events which reverberate down the generations.

Josh Roche revives his acclaimed, two-part production, The Forsyte Saga Part 1: Irene and The Forsyte Saga Part 2: Fleur, with Fiona Hampton, Joseph Millson and Flora Spencer-Longhurst reprising their roles as Irene, Soames and Fleur.

Experience the thrilling saga this winter, best enjoyed in one epic day, across two separate days, or equally as sensational as complete, stand-alone plays.
