Able to Holiday are happy to say that they still have limited summer availability for disabled tourists in their accessible apartments in the Algarve, Portugal.
Also, The Algarve makes for an amazing winter escape destination, since that’s when it’s generally mild, in comparison with northern Europe, and the bright light is simply beautiful.
They’ve been successfully hosting disabled clients for more than 15 years, offering fully accessible accommodation with an extensive range of specialist equipment, supplied at no extra charge and including use of a wheelchair accessible courtesy car.
Your stay starts with a smile and a warm welcome as they collect (and return) you to the airport, at no additional charge, so you can start to enjoy a worry-free holiday from the moment you disembark.

All bedrooms have air-conditioning. (The three-bedroom apartment also includes an additional family bathroom.)
New for 2025, the two Bedroom apartment offers a dropdown shower table, and the three-bedroom apartment has a wall mounted electric height adjustable shower stretcher to improve the ease of showering.
Nature
There are numerous nature conservation areas offering opportunities to spot flamingos, spoonbills, red legged stilts, glossy black ibis and numerous other feathered residents and visitors. You may be lucky enough to spot the huge griffon vultures and other stunning raptors that frequent the skies, including the cute European little owl.
The gentle autumn rain also brings a flourish of new colours to the countryside as plants enjoy the end of the dry summer, including the flowering of almond trees, offering various whites and pinks. Any rain generally clears swiftly, giving the opportunity to stroll along the boardwalks that have been created to improve accessibility.
Visitors also enjoy the hypnotising beauty of the ocean; famous throughout the winter for its water sport opportunities, particularly surfing and kite boarding. Able to Holiday staff are always available to give advice and arrange trips and activities, or for whatever help you need.
