Having swapped their standard car for a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV) due to changing mobility needs, Christine Heywood and her husband, Chris, tell Able Magazine how they’re getting on with their brand-new Peugeot Horizon WAV from Allied Mobility.
The couple decided on Horizon following a free home demonstration of the vehicle where their dedicated mobility consultant explained and demonstrated all aspects of the vehicle and its accessible features.
Reflecting on their experience of switching to a WAV, Chris says Horizon has allowed the couple to maintain their ability to get out and about, saying: “We have not lost out in any way by moving to a WAV. All the modern up to date features are incorporated into Horizon.”
Impressive
Indeed, based on the Peugeot Rifter Allure, Horizon comes with an impressive specification including a 10” colour touchscreen with a 180° colour reversing camera, Mirror Screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
If you’re thinking about switching to a WAV, Chris has some simple advice: “I can’t recommend Allied Mobility highly enough. At every stage of the process, they have put our needs first and have taken every effort to ensure we have our transport needs met.”
