This year Chris and Alan will be hiking up Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. They will be raising money for a dementia charity in Newton Abbot. They will be hiking with John Powell from Unicare and Paul Dollins from Paul Dollins Accountants.
Together they will be aiming to reach a target of £10,000.
Chris is 34 and someone who works with Alan at United Response. Chris had cerebral palsy of the brain when he was born and has a subsequent learning difficulty. Alan will shortly be 45 and works for United Response – a charity that works will adults who have learning difficulties and aims to put the person first and the disability last.
They are going to smash this challenge – hike up Kilimanjaro in October 2019 and prove that there are no barriers for people with disabilities!
They need your help to raise this money. The statistics about dementia and adults with learning difficulties are frightening and by doing this challenge they want to raise money and also raise awareness.
