Power2Inspire is thrilled to host the fifth annual Festival of Inclusive Golf.  The 9 hole, par 3 course, set back off the Trumpington Road, is a real hidden gem: the peace, the greenery, and the lovely clubhouse, make it seem unreal that it is only one mile from Cambridge City Centre.

Ten teams of four – there is limited space so do sign up early – will play a round of golf, under “Texas Scramble” rules, which ensure everyone contributes to the team’s score.  And after the golfing fun, there will be drinks and a barbecue, for even more socialising.  Each team must have at least one disabled player, so everyone is welcome.

Pricing:

  • Teams – £50 for 4 players, remember to invite a disabled player. Ideal for a corporate outing!
  • Individuals – £15 each (to cover the round, a barbecue and drinks!). We will find you a team to play in.

Clothing: Relaxed, but wear sensible shoes (no stilettos!) as you will be walking.

Equipment: The course provides balls, clubs, scorecards and pencils, but feel free to bring your own, if you have them.

Texas Scramble rules:

Everyone drives their ball.

The team selects the ball they wish to play (usually the best shot).

The other three team members move their ball alongside the chosen ball. Everyone plays their second shot (with their ball) from that spot.

Repeat until a ball goes in the hole.

Each team scores each hole so everyone participates and you play as a team. Lowest overall score wins.

A wrinkle! Each team must use all team members’ drives twice. There are 9 holes so one player can use his/her drive three times. But think when choosing whose drive to play – tactics will play a part!

Address: Cambridge Lakes Golf Course, Trumpington Road, Cambridge, CB2 8FA
