Tennis

In the 6th of our 'Knowledge' pieces on the Special Olympics GB Summer Games in Bath, we're serving up a look at Tennis.

As always, let's glance at the basics. Tennis is a popular sport played at all levels of skill and by players of all ages. Every athlete aims in passing the ball to the opponent's side of the net, striking it with a tennis racquet.  The sport emphasizes values, such as fair play, sportsmanship and respect for fellow competitors. Tennis is not only fun to play, but it is a lifetime sport activity that is fun to practice and fun to learn.

At the Summer Games, you'll be able to see 39 athletes competing on Bath University campus attempting to emulate the successes of Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray (because no article on tennis is complete without a reference to Andy!).
