Able Magazine editor, Tom Jamison selected the Paravan PR35 S, a paediatric standing powerchair from among the hundreds of products on show at the NEC, Birmingham.
Able Magazine has been a media partner with the Naidex event for over a decade and by tradition, the editor of the publication selects their choice of product to receive the Able Magazine’s Naidex Best In Show Award.
The Paravan PR35 S is the first standing powerchair made specifically for children. While others use a paediatric seat fixed to an adult chassis, the PR35 S is different, presenting the same engineering, but 40% smaller in scale. This means that the powerchair is far more suitable for a child user, not just in terms of the precision of their control but also in that it does not overwhelm the visual profile of it’s young user.
Able Magazine editor, Tom Jamison, commented: “The PR35 S is a worthy winner of the Best In Show Award, among a predictably strong field. I love that Precision Rehab and Paravan have committed to a paediatric powerchair design. Disabled children and young people deserve the best we can give them.
The Paravan PR35 S has a superb range of features but best of all, again, because of its scale, it allows the personality of the child using it to shine though. Many congratulations to all involved.”
