Following recent improvements, The Old Vic is now more accessible than ever. There is a step-free entrance on Waterloo Road with lift access to the Box Office, inner foyer, Penny bar and cafe and stalls level of the auditorium. Once inside the auditorium there are up to 8 wheelchair spaces at every performance, including gaps that allow for two wheelchairs to be positioned side-by-side.

The theatre’s latest production is the Olivier Award-winning (Best New Musical, Best Actor) ★★★★★ musical sensation Groundhog Day.

This comic parable of love, hope and transformation is brought to you by the creatives behind Matilda The Musical and The Old Vic’s  A Christmas Carol and is based on the 1993 hit film. Phil Connors is a pretty awful guy. But when the cynical Pittsburgh TV weatherman is sent to cover the kooky annual Groundhog Day event in the small town of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, he finds himself caught in a time loop that sends him on a hilarious path to enlightenment and redemption.

Performances run until 19 Aug, with evening performances at 7.30pm and Wed and Sat matinees at 2.30pm. There are also the following access performances, which are open to all:
