Located in the heart of beautiful rural Dorset in the peaceful hamlet of Woolland, Ellwood Cottages are outstanding conversions of three traditionally built barns, in a courtyard setting. Named after Dorset writers Hardy, Barnes and Blyton, the cottages have been lovingly restored to provide superbly equipped, comfortable, tastefully furnished, year-round, single storey self catering holiday accommodation for people with disabilities, their families, friends and carers.

Outdoors are spacious landscaped gardens with tables and chairs for guest use, providing stunning views across fields with farm animals and wildlife, to Bulbarrow Hill and Ibberton Hill. An indoor heated splash pool has wide steps with handrails for easy access, a pool hoist, for use with guests own sling/harness, and a poolside seating area. There are fully accessible changing rooms with showers and toilets.

For guests requiring additional relaxation or entertainment, there is a recreation room with numerous books (some large print), musical instruments and games for all ages. Covered parking is provided within a few metres of each cottage.

The Cottages

Hardy (sleeps 3) and Barnes (sleeps 4) cottages each have two bedrooms, a cosy living room, comprehensively equipped kitchen and wet room. Blyton Cottage is larger and will sleep up to 6 in two en suite bedrooms.
