The versatile Focus Active might’ve been made for Motability customers. The flexible and practical elements of this excellent crossover will appeal to a very wide audience.
A high driving position means a confident outlook, backed up with a wider track, creating a stable stance. That said, it’s far from basic, given that the driver can select from several drive modes that enable them to easily configure response, steering and gear changes to their individual preferences. With seven different modes including: Normal, Eco, Sport, Comfort, Eco-Comfort, Slippery and Trail, the Active can be set to make the most of very specific weather conditions and surfaces.
The practical flexibility is mostly on show in the cabin where you’ll note SUV-inspired design that achieves a balance between form and function – the interior is trimmed in classic black with subtle stitching making it robust and stylish at the same time. There is some irony in that the more ‘pumped’ Active X version carries extra comfortable features including: partial leather trim, soft console knee pads, 6-way power adjust driver seat, front passenger seat manual height and lumbar adjust, heated front seats and dual-zone air temperature control.
Key features on the Active include: LED front fog lamps with cornering function, active front and rear bumper, keyless start with Ford Power Start button, SYNC3 with voice control and a 4.2’’ TFT coloured cluster with navigation.
The Active X adds: a panorama roof, power folding door mirrors with puddle lights, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry, rain sensing wipers and FordPass Connect system.
