We’re looking for ‘superheroes’ to join us this summer for a ‘super’ fun day of sports activities at the Superhero Tri powered by Marvel on 17 August at Dorney Lake, Windsor.
This event is designed for people with a disability to participate in a fun, tri challenge. There are no time restrictions and participations can use their equipment to complete the activities.
There are three distances to choose from, participants can do this solo and take on all three challenges (a swim, a cycle and a push/run/walk) or share the fun in a team relay, or Superheroes can recruit Sidekick team mates to tow, push, pull them around the entire course.
A regular feature of the day is the Celebrity Superhero Tri relay where Superheroes can win a chance to be on a team with a celebrity star from sports or TV. Check out the Super Team Captain line up here.
To add to the fun of the event, participants are encouraged to dress up in their favourite Superhero costume!
In addition to the event, Invacare will have an exhibition stand displaying a selection of our latest powered and manual wheelchairs including AVIVA RX, TDX, Alber power add-ons, Action range and our premium brand of active manual chairs; Kuschall.
Who can join?
Everyone is welcome as long as one solo entrant or team member has a disability. There are no cut-off times and all types of ‘gadgets and gismos’ are welcome on the course.

Free entry for spectators and free parking.
When: 17 August 2024
How: The event is designed to make it possible for participants to use anything that might be needed to complete the tri stage/s. For the swim, you can use flippers or floats or be towed in a vessel on the water. For the cycle, all types of adaptive bikes & wheelchairs are welcome. For the final run/push, everything from baby buggies to race runners & powerchairs are actively encouraged.
Dress code: A Superhero outfit!
