Conference and Showcase for Digital Accessibility and Assistive ICT Technologies.

The first M-Enabling Forum Europe will take place on 27 September this year, parallel to REHACARE in Düsseldorf. E.J.Krause & Associates (EJK) and the G3ict (the Global Initiative for Inclusive ICT, established with the support of the United Nations) organise this conference to advance awareness of new milestones for accessible technologies.

EJK and G3ict launched the M-Enabling Summit in Washington DC over seven years ago to support the spread of accessible and assistive technology. The M-Enabling Summit has developed into the leading global conference for empowering accessible technologies and next-generation innovation for the disability community with more than 600 conference attendees, 140 speakers and 58 sponsors and exhibitors involved in the 2017event. The M-Enabling Global-Briefi ng-Tour staged further events in San Francisco, Moscow, Sydney and Milan.

Enabling independent living

M-Enabling Forum Europe, taking place in Düsseldorf in 2018, will include panel discussions about rules and standards as well as case studies, showing how mobile technologies and assistive services enable independent living. M-Enabling Forum Europe is a unique event that brings together policy makers, standardisation bodies, industry and organisations representing various segments of what are collectively described as persons with disabilities, including multi-disability advocacy organisations like the European Disability Forum.

The forum will be held in the Congress Centre Dusseldorf, right next to the halls where REHACARE is running (26-29 September 2018). The foyer of the conference room will serve as a networking area and host the showcase where sponsors and exhibitors present their latest technology projects. REHACARE visitors also have access to the foyer, as well as M-Enabling attendees enjoying free entry to REHACARE.

REHACARE has been organised by Messe Düsseldorf for 30 years and is the leading conference and exhibition for Independent Living in Europe with 39,000 visitors and 780 exhibitors attending the 2017 event.
