Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is launching tennis sessions for people with learning disabilities on Thursday 7 May which will run every Thursday from 12:00 to 13:00 and cost just £2.50.
Fully qualified tennis coaches will lead the weekly tennis sessions which are supported by the Tennis Foundation as part of their Disability Tennis Network and are open to all players aged eight and over. All equipment is provided.
Lee Valley Regional Park Authority Sports Development Officer Jack Pringle said:
“Tennis players of all ability levels are welcome including complete beginners. Tennis racquets and balls are provided and it’s affordable at just £2.50 for an hour on court.
“It’s a great opportunity to get fit, have fun and make new friends and we hope that these new sessions will prove popular. Thank you to our partners including Tennis Foundation and Motivate East for supporting these new sessions.”
