The handybar is a neat device that I imagine would sit in the side pocket of a car door as you drive around. For people that find it a strain to get up from a car seat, they simply hook it onto the locking component on the car door and support themselves as they rise.
(The handybar also functions as an emergency window breaking hammer and seatbelt cutter.)
