Two of your favourite high street health and beauty retailers offer support to get you onto the employment ladder. From application to interview and throughout your time with us, this disability confident employer is here to help.

Superdrug and Savers offer one of the largest and most long-standing apprenticeship schemes in UK retail (17 years) – the multi-tier scheme aims to help people kick-start, accelerate and elevate their careers. Whether a school-leaver looking for their first job, a current employee hungry to take on more responsibility, or an ambitious assistant manager, the programme is designed to support every apprentice.

With apprenticeships available in store, in our distribution centres and our head offices, we’ve got just the role for you, no matter your disability.

Supported
You will be supported to make the most of your ability. Reasonable adjustments are available, from additional breaks to physical tools to help you during your career with us. Regardless of your position, you will receive support from your line manager, plus all our apprentices get an experienced assessor who gives one-to-one support.

Assessors provide support for apprentices with special educational needs and/or disabilities, adapting their teaching style to meet apprentices’ needs, such as supporting notetaking or providing additional information before visits.

The company’s DisAbility Network was created in 2020 to listen to, learn from, and directly support anyone who has a disability or long-term health condition. So far, they have raised awareness and supported team members to learn sign language, tackle isolation and focus on the ability not disability, of everyone who works with us.
