The full body harness is connected to a back pad which is fitted horizontally around the vehicle seat back with two fixing straps and is designed to offer postural support to children and adults by keeping them in an upright position. It can be used in the car with single or split backed bench seats.
It also has a groin strap to help prevent passengers from sliding down in their seat and can even be used on a stairlift chair. Model 27 has been accepted for passenger use on aircraft seats by several leading airlines as long as it is used in conjunction with the existing aircraft safety belt. (It is not FAA approved and you should seek advice and confirmation of acceptance before travelling.)
