The next generation Nissan Juke illustrates exactly what a lot of Motability customers are currently looking for: a performance-rich driving experience backed up with smart safety features and topped off with superb technology and design attributes.
The Juke is altogether eye-catching with a sporty exterior and generous interior proportions both in the driver and passenger seats, as well as the boot – where capacity is certainly capable of carrying plenty of shopping or indeed, mobility equipment. High quality interior finishes, ergonomic controls and lighting features make the driver’s seat a pleasant place to be.
The Juke is a reminder that design and functionality combined, create great things. The sleek and sophisticated cockpit style interior is an excellent place to explore the responsive, lightweight turbocharged engine (via quick reaction paddle shifting on the Tekna DCT models – a system already familiar to drivers of adapted cars). A rigid, ultra-high strength steel chassis, spritely steering and suspension underpin a tight and tidy ride supported by Intelligent Trace Control (applying brakes to individual wheels) and Intelligent Ride Control – that calms pitching along poor surfaces.
Additionally, drive mode selections: eco, standard and sport, help you to get the best out of the car under different circumstances, providing further driving confidence and a connection with the road surface. 1
Technology also provides driving assistance and entertainment. The ProPILOT system available on the automatic Tekna grades equips you with advanced Intelligent Mobility technology, that discreetly monitors and adapts to your driving style – and where needed, will encourage lane discipline, adapt your speed and even bring you to a complete stop in traffic. 2 On manual Tekna models the Drive Assist system includes lane keep assist and intelligent cruise control.
The NissanConnect 8″ touchscreen entertainment and navigation system, includes NissanConnect services Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, DAB radio, Bluetooth and voice recognition3 compatible with Google Assistant, you’ll also be able to access driving history and analysis, Nissan help and breakdown assistance for seven years from registration date on eligible vehicles equipped with NissanConnect services – well beyond the life of a Motability vehicle lease.4
An excellent raft of Nissan Intelligent Mobility technology is provided across the range as standard, again with an emphasis on monitoring driving variables. Highlights include: Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian and Cyclist Recognition, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition, Hill Start and High Beam Assist. 5
A very useful feature that is standard on Tekna grade is the Around-View Monitor. It utilises four cameras to provide a 360° ‘birds-eye’ view of your vehicle and its surroundings and helping you to park with confidence and especially useful for drivers with impaired trunk mobility. Other driving convenience and assistance features introduced on the Tekna grade includes Heated Front seats, Intelligent Driver Alertness, Blind Spot Warning and intervention as well as Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
The technology inputs provides a handy back up for the driver’s own skills and are not restrictive in terms of the driving experience. Rather, the Juke remains an uplifting, trouble free drive.
